Jewellery workshop

Grade 1 and above
Make your own jewellery - earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets and also key chains, imaginatively designed with a variety of materials, such as beads, sequins and feathers.

Felt workshop

Grade 2 and above
The group learns the age-old technique of felting, used in many cultures for the production of textile material. Coloured wool is processed using soap and water to create various fashionable accessories, felt figures or small everyday objects.

Textile workshop

Grade 4 and above
While creating do-it-yourself imaginative accessories out of fabric, wool or recycled materials, kids will be introduced to the basics of various crafting techniques and textile design.

Carving workshop

Grade 4 and above
Small objects are carved, filed and etched from tagua nuts or bones. After polishing, a very special treasure emerges, whether as a piece of jewellery or an art object.

For all workshops:

Workshop size: max. 10 children (for more children book several parallel workshops)
Duration: 3 hours
Admission fee: 60 € for school classes /kindergarten /day-care groups, including accompanying person, (private groups of adults and children 120 €)

Have a Party

At the Frankfurt Young Museum children can celebrate birthday parties with their guests, and try out their technical and creative skills. Our workshops or historical role-playing rooms can be booked for parties of two or three hours, of which half an hour is reserved for food and beverages at the birthday table. Cakes and drinks must be brought, but dishes and cutlery are available. Each offer is supervised by a staff member of the Young Museum. Parties can be celebrated from Tuesday to Sunday.

8th birthday and older: 3 hours

Matted and Sewn - make colourful felt accessories from wool and soap
8th birthday and older: 3 hours

With Needle and Thread - Embellish an outfit with fabric, wool and recycled materials in the textile workshop.
9th birthday and older: 3 hours

Ornate Carving - File and polish objects made of Tagua nuts or bones in the woodcarving workshop
10th birthday and older: 3 hours
