Visiting the museum is possible under German 2G-Plus regulations. Visitors need to provide proof of vaccination or recovery in connection with an official identification document, as well as a negative COVID-19 viral test (antigen/lateral flow or PCR test, no self test) taken on the day they visit. Visitors who have had the booster shot are exempt from testing. This applies both to visiting the museum as well as participation in guided tours and events on the museum premises.
School children need proof under German 3G-regulations (vaccinated/recovered/tested) to visit or participate in guided tours or workshops (German school test booklet is sufficient or any viral test).

A picnic area in the Young Museum is available for families bringing snacks. (Temporarily closed)
Each weekend a workshop or historical play room is open for families with childeren age 6 and up to join in. (Temporarily closed)
The elevator to enter the building is on the side of the building, at "Am Fahrtor".
Elevators allow access to all levels and barrier-free toilets.
A wheelchair can be borrowed.
U-Bahn: U4, U5 (Dom/Römer), tram: 11, 12 (Römer/Paulskirche)
by foot approx. 5 minutes from the stations across the Römerberg in the direction of the Main riverbank.
S-Bahn trains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9 to Frankfurt-Hauptwache, approx. 10 minutes by foot in the direction of the Römer.
