Friends and Sponsors of the Frankfurt Young Museum

Innovative, exciting and cross-generational: that’s the appeal of the Frankfurt Young Museum! Its wide range of exhibitions offers hands-on knowledge for all age groups and takes active visitor participation to the next level, involving all the senses. From Frankfurt history theme tours to numerous workshop activities like printing, papermaking or its historical pharmacy, everyone in the Young Museum is encouraged to actively experiment, inquire and explore the world around them, whether you are a family, school class or group!

We, the friends and supporters of the Frankfurt Young Museum, are committed to the pursuit of knowledge through fun and enthusiasm! Established in 2002, the goals of our non-profit association "Friends and Sponsors of the Frankfurt Young Museum" are to foster creativity and enable diversity. We support new exhibition concepts and forms of communication, as well as socio-cultural and participative projects for children and young people in- and outside the museum.

We are convinced that every visit to a museum requires competent professional guidance, which is why we regularly organize and finance training courses for freelance staff at the Frankfurt Young Museum.

We are also committed to quality in museum education and communication outside of the museum space. As sponsor of the certified training program "The Language of Things –An Introductory Course to Museum Education", we support newcomers and career changers on their path toward professional practice. In cooperation with other museums, we enable trainees to familiarize themselves with and test museum educational subjects and methods. But above all we pass on our experience and provide a professional exchange of information that also enriches our work.
