Paper
Papermaking
Pre-school and older
In the paper workshop, kids create paper from various raw materials. First, they become familiar with the raw materials which paper is produced from, and learn about the history of paper. Then pulp boards and waste paper are processed to pulp. Parts of plants, colourful scraps of paper, fragrant spices and other things are worked into the different varieties of pulp. "Watermarks" are made on the paper using string, and with splatter sieves a variety of different paper forms are created.
Please note: papermaking is a wet affair! Ask participants to wear "old" shoes, because it often drips on them!

Duration: 3 hours
Admission fee: 120 € for school classes /pre-school /day-care groups, including accompanying person, (private groups of adults and children 175 €)
